Can fracking be cleaned up?

Fracking site: Trucks at a well in Pennsylvania pump high-pressure fracking fluid down the well to free natural gas from the shale formation far below the surface.   I would like to believe that one day we won’t need hydrocarbons but until that day comes a  new analysis by the US International Energy Agency says technologies exist—or are in development—that could largely address these concerns.  The biggest challenge is that companies are simply not following the instructions that came with the technology–what a shock.   It has come to the point that some US companies are asking the government for more regulations. They also feel the regulations will drive innovations that can make the process even cleaner.  Read the full article
